About Us

About us

Shawn was raised on the farm during a time when "tobacco was king". Tracey only worked in tobacco during her high school summer breaks like most kids did at that time and vowed that she "Would NEVER Marry a Farmer!" ....Oh well, that was over 25 years ago. Today the farm has evolved from a tobacco farm into a fresh fruit and vegetable operation. We raise all the fruit and vegetables that we sell at the farm .... So you won't find bananas in our market at the farm...lol! It's a family affair at Southside. Shawn and Tracey have three grown children that work on the farm as well as Uncle Phil, Grandma Betty and Grandma Lola. We enjoy providing fresh, nutritious and delicious food to the people in our community. Come see us, pick a few berries, sit on the porch and eat some of Grandma Betty's ice cream and meet your farmer!
